Ready for high school Algebra?
It pays to be sure, because if your pre-algebra skills and knowledge are "shaky", you may discover the
rigor of high-school algebra to be a significant or even daunting challenge.
Algebra Readiness is a self-guided mini-course designed to assess your preparedness for Algebra, and
to help raise your pre-algebra competencies as needed. Although this is a NON-CREDIT course, taking it
will increase the likelihood of your future success in Algebra I.
It is recommended that you complete this course BEFORE beginning Algebra I.
However, lessons in this course can also be used for on-demand remediation while you are taking other
Algebra courses. For example, if you are in Algebra I and having difficulty solving algebraic equations
because you're "fuzzy" about how to multiply and divide fractions, simply run through Algebra Readiness
lesson 04, Multiplying and Dividing Fractions and it will help bring you up to speed on that particular math
skill.
